Hamid Mansouri Rad is the Senior Proposal Development Specialist at New Mexico State University (NMSU)’s Research Administration Services. Hamid helps advance the university’s research mission by supporting faculty and staff in successfully obtaining external funding for research, educational, and outreach activities.

Dr. Rad manages NMSU’s responses to limited submission funding opportunities, convening review committees and holding internal competitions as needed. He is also the university’s concierge in Mountain-West Clinical and Translational Research Infrastructure Network (MW CTR-IN) and coordinates NMSU faculty members’ engagement with MW CTR-IN, guiding them in obtaining seed funding for their research endeavors.

Before joining the Office of the Vice President for Research, Hamid was a Computational Linguist at NMSU’s Computing Research Laboratory (2000-2007). Hamid holds a Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Professional Communication from NMSU (2019). His dissertation explored the nature and role of persuasion in national security intelligence products.
