The NMSU student chapter of IEEE serves to promote the engineering process of creating, developing, integrating, sharing, and applying knowledge about topics in electrical engineering and information technologies and sciences for the benefit of humanity and the profession. This is accomplished through several different activities that are hosted by our local chapter.

News for Current Members
Fall 2020:
To the members of the IEEE NMSU Chapter,
Due to recent circumstances, we are writing to inform you that our chapter has decided that it is in the chapter’s best interest to take a semester-long hiatus. We will be drafting a plan to return as an on-campus club for the Spring semester 2021 and returning in full force with a semester full of volunteering and activities.
If you have any interest in returning as an IEEE officer for Spring 2021, please feel free to reach out to us and submit your nomination.
We wish you the best of luck during these troubling times.
Sincerely The IEEE NMSU Chapter,
-Alyssa Garcia, IEEE Vice President
-Linda Martin, IEEE President of 2019-2020
