Geographic Measurement Management for Windows (WinGMM) is the computational tool for the creation and manipulation of PLSS data as contained in the USDI — Bureau of Land Managements’ Geographic Coordinate Data Base. The purpose of WinGMM is to provide a flexible means to generate a geographic coordinate representation of the Public Land Survey System and other parcel boundaries from existing record plat data supplemented with available geodetic control and/or data digitized from USGS quadrangle maps. The software is distributed in a single .zip file that must be extracted and installed. Note: portions of this software may not work correctly in 64 bit windows.
Developed by the University of Maine in cooperation with the USDI-Bureau of Land Management for the creation and maintenance of the GCDB.
